Future Hearts:

Distribution:

Task 1

Distribution Channels:

For this album, it was released through the Record Company, Hopeless Records. This is an independent company, and gains money from the bands they sign with and their products.
The way that Hopeless would give the album Future Hearts to the audience would be through advertising on music platforms such as Spotify, or they would create adverts to show before a Youtube video. They wouldn't do as much tv advertising because they use platforms that they know the bands fans/ audience would see the adverts. The band members would also promote the album on witter using hints or clues that they are releasing something soon and keeping the audience interested to see what they are bringing out. The record company would show adverts and make hints about the album for a few months ahead of the release date to gain hype. For the Future Hearts album, All Time Low went on tour around the world, promoting a few singles they had released and the full album itself gaining more hype to the audience.
When the album is finally released, the audience can either buy a physical copy from shops like Amazon, HMV and occasionally Hot Topic. To promote the album Hot Topic and HMV do in store signings and acoustic performance. Another way the fans can listen to the album is through Spotify and Youtube, you can also buy the album on iTunes.

Advertising:

Task 2

The album will be advertised through magazines such as Rocksound and Kerrang!, who will do interviews with the band about the album and the sound and lyrics and everything based around the album. Spotify will also show a clip of an advert to people who don't pay for premium. The band won't rely on adverts too much to promote the album as they will hint themselves to fans over social media with pictures, lyrics and music videos for singles to hype up the audience. They will use the earnings from the pre sale of the album to help fund a tour based around the album which will also help promote it.
